Its getting deep in here

Taylor
Acoustic Guitar

Tired of sitting behind the mixing board, Taylor promotes himself to the stage.  Well known for his kick-ass karoke on AC/DC's "Big Balls".  He also has an unplugged version, which none of us knew about until we spotted him trying to pull off a solo encore on the Legends stage.  Hobbies include golf, poker, golf, bowling, golf and turkeys.  Did I mention golf?

Rex
Electric Guitar

rexisu.jpg

The old guy in the band grinding out hot licks in front of a wall of empty Keystone cans.  Makes us play covers from the 60's and 70's.  In the 80's, this six-string samurai spread the butter for local band "Jonny Toast".  Rex was coaxed out of retirement after a crazy night of karoke bar hopping on a chauffeured short bus.  Rex brings experience and depth to 2FD, and is also kind of a father figure for us.  His first guitar doubled as a teether.  Devotes most of his time at home to hot wax experiments.

Megs
Bass Guitar/Vocals/Keyboard

Ol' Megs will take care it.  Mild mannered realtor by day, party girl by night.  The music scholar of the group.  She actually knows some notes, plays keyboard and can sing harmony.  She found the "band van" (a '77 Chevy HeadRest) and loves taking it on trips to Clear Lake... but ONLY on special occaisions and holidays. You can also see Megs perform with the Lady Fingers at the Grand Piano Bistro in Des Moines.  Did you know she's left handed?

Rob
Guitar/Vocals

AKA TomKat...  Rob's musical journey started a fateful day in gym class in the 5th grade.  A traumatizing experience has laid the groundwork for the man behind the 2FD originals. We really don't know all that goes on inside but it makes for some great Rock N Roll.  Rob shares his insight to the world around us.  From snippets of life in "A Moment", Hypocrisy in the unmasking song "Salt", to Love, Life & the Beach in "Underneath the Sun", Rob gives 2FD  members Lyrics and Tunage they can sink their teeth into and groove with the audience. Rob's Musical influences are many so don't be suprised if he channels a little Neil Diamond where you least expect.

Adam
Drums/Percusssion

The rhythm technician of the band, Adam is one of the 2 remaining members of the original garage band, Devello. Starting out of Rob's basement, Devello spent countless hours keeping up his wife and kids. Several members and studios later, Rob and Adam continue to conquer the power of music that has kept them going these last 6 years, now sharing the spot light with the other members of 2FD. Hard to believe they are still cranking out the tunes after all they have been through. Between past members moving, quiting, or just plain stop coming to practice, they have endured and prospered through the many hardships brought with a rock band. He feels fortunate to have jammed with his brother, Steve, and shared many a stage with him, not to mention groupies...wait, they didn't share...there were plenty to go around!!! Still, through all that, a dynamic and diverse display of greatness has protruded to what is now 2 Feet Deep! Sharing the stage with the other members of the band has proved to be the proudest of his years as a musician. Adam feels blessed to be a part of what 2FD is; a group of friends joined in a collaborative scheme to provide listening enjoyment for their family and friends....2FD FOR LIFE!!!!
